Watlington & District Age Concern Drop In Centre
situated in the High Street, offers a warm welcome each weekday morning, where you can socialise with friends over light refreshments or use many of the services available.  A Chiropractor and Chiropodist visit regularly. New Hearing and Batteries can be obtained at the centre. We also operate our own Mini Bus for weekly shopping trips. A scrabble club meets every Wednesday afternoon.  Please contact the Drop In Centre for more information.

Watlington Day Centre

Watlington Senior Citizens Luncheon & Social Club
Meets every Wednesday 12.00 – 3.00 pm in the West Room, Old School Place, Watlington. Members enjoy a freshly prepared 3 course lunch and various activities. Membership is open to all in Watlington and the surrounding communities and we are able to provide transport for those unable to get out unaided. Cost: £7.00 per week inclusive of lunch, activities, tea and biscuits. Transport is charged extra depending on the distance travelled.

are a source of exercise, fresh air and pesticide free food. More than seventy families grow their own fruit and vegetables. We are able to grow special varieties knowing exactly how they have been cultivated; no worries about all the sprays and other additives that may be in those sold in shops. Plots are often available with car access and water supply.

Watlington Environment Group
We hold a programme of walks, talks and visits covering a wide range of environmental and natural history subjects, as well as offering occasional courses and training workshops. We carry out practical conservation work in the Parish – in particular at Watlington Chalk Pits Local Nature Reserve, which we manage on behalf of Watlington Parish Council. We circulate a newsletter to members, and respond with help or advice to local residents with wildlife questions.

Watlington After School Club (WASPS)
provides wrap around care for children between 4 and 11 who attend Watlington Primary School. It encompasses breakfast, after school and holiday clubs. A wide range of activities are on offer from art and crafts, sport, Playstation, table football, to board games, videos and books. The sessions are run by highly qualified and dedicated staff and greatly enjoyed by the children.

"Friends of Icknield is an organisation which comprises of all those interested in supporting Icknield Community College, whether parents, carers, staff, pupils or interested members of the local community."

We have regular meetings in a friendly atmosphere and liaise directly with the Headteacher and the board of Governors to promote and encourage parents to become involved in their children’s education by collectively

is for girls aged 10-14 years. We meet at the Primary school every Tuesday during term time from 18:30 to 20:30. Our activities are varied with an emphasis on encouraging self sufficient, confident young women. We cover many activities from craft to fashion, camping to canoeing, outdoors and indoors. Seeing your inner-self to seeing the world. 10 million members worldwide can't be wrong.

is a dynamic group of like-minded people who give up their time and energies to raise funds for the school and promote the relationship between parents, teachers and the local community. We work hard but have fun in the process! All parents of children in the Primary School are welcomed by the PTA.

Second Watlington Scout Group
is part of The Scout Association, a uniformed movement for young people, and we currently have over forty boys invested, aged between six and thirteen years and five leaders, all voluntary. The Scout Hut is in the Memorial Club car park.. Beaver Scouts, six to eight years, meet on Mondays at 4pm and spend an action-packed hour of fun whilst working for badges with occasional outings and visits. Cub Scouts, eight to ten years meet on Wednesdays, 6.15-7.30 pm and often enjoy the outdoors on Watlington Hill as well as following a busy, progressive badgework programme. Scouts, ten to fourteen years, meet on Mondays, 6.30-8pm to learn camping and survival skills whilst continuing with badgework. Boys can be put on the Beaver waiting list from their fifth birthday.

St. Leonards, The Church of England, Parish Church of Watlington
is more than it’s building – the oldest in Watlington but newly restored to bright multi-purpose use. The Church is its people, young and old, who worship there and seek to serve God and our community. Everybody is very welcome to come and join us. Details of services are on the notice board outside the church.

Watlington Anglican Churchyard – every Watlington resident has the legal right to be burried there. Volunteers are welcome on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9.30 am to maintain the 1000 grave area.

South African Link
– The Anglican Benefice (Watlington, Britwell Salome, Pyrton and Swyncombe) formed a link with the Black Township parish of Mothibistad, near Kuruman in South Africa, which has been running for over 10 years. In addition to exchange visits, support has recently developed for HIV/Aids work, mainly among married women whose husbands have passed it on after working away from home, and for community work, particularly among the unemployed.

Watlington Volunteer Drivers
We are a group of volunteer drivers based in Watlington. Our objective is to help anybody get to their hospital appointment – NHS/private. It has been recognized that our local transport system cannot offer a direct route to hospital and we offer a door to door service. We do have to charge for mileage only. We pride ourselves on our professional methods, but we are still a happy helpful group. We welcome anybody who would consider being a volunteer driver.

Icknield Badminton Club
A friendly club for all levels and ages of players from those returning to the sport to experienced league players. Club nights are held on the four courts of Icknield Community School Sports Hall every Thursday evening during term time from 7.30pm to 9.45pm with both changing room and shower facilities available. A programme of league matches is played across Oxfordshire for those looking for further competition. The club is affiliated to Badminton England, the sports governing body.

Watlington Bowls Club
Has been in existence for 70 years and runs a full programme of both friendly and competitive matches. A new pavilion was opened in 2006. New members, young or old, receive a warm welcome and a qualified coach gives free lessons whenever they join. Practice bowls are available. The outdoor bowls season is from April to September. During the Winter short mat bowls is played in the Pavilion.

Part of the Recreation Ground has been flattened for a full (32 x 28 yd) lawn. Those looking for a new sport, alone or as a family should come and try. In pairs of fours it can be enjoyed form the first to highest level. Tactics and skill usually outplay brute force. ‘A game between grandparents and grandchildren can be on equal terms’. A small charge per game includes the use of equipment. Beginners can arrange free basic tuition.

Watlington Ladies Netball
We started life after an open sports day at Icknield School. We have seen success and failure but always enjoyment along the way. We welcome anyone from age 13 years upwards, a regular player, returning to play or someone who wants to try something new and make some friends along the way. We play in the Oxfordshire League, some of us just train, some do it for fitness, but all have fun! We train at Icknield Sports Hall on Tuesday evenings at 8pm and will always welcome new players to join us.

Chiltern Rifle Club
Using the old wartime Home Guard training range in Watlington, we have grown from a miniature rifle club to the safe use of all types of firearms with members from all walks of life and ages 12 to 65+. We provide shooting four nights a week, as well as regular weekday/weekend visits to outdoor ranges. Re Blub and competitive pistol/rifle shooting.

Situated in the top floor of the Memorial Club, has been there for many years, and has a membership limit of fifty. The table is always very well maintained as is the room it stands in. We have two teams currently playing in the Didcot and District Snooker League. We are a friendly club and always welcome new members.
